NSF International, The Public Health and Safety Company , a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, NSF is focus on standards development, product certification, education, and risk-management for public health and safety. Its test reports and approvals can be accepted by ANSI and SCC
NSF standards for Water Programs

Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals (NSF/ANSI Std. 60) Flocculants, surfactants, disinfectants, etc

Drinking Water Treatment Units (NSF/ANSI Std. 42, 44, 53, 55, 58, and 62) Water filters, water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, distillers, UV disinfection, etc.

Municipal Drinking Water System Components (NSF/ANSI Std. 61, AWWA) Coatings, valves, pipes, water meters, in-line devices, etc.

Plumbing System Components (NSF/ANSI Std. 14, 24, ASTM, ASME, CSA, IAPMO, ASSE)Plastic pipe and fittings, faucets, valves, plumbing fixtures, metal piping, electrical and telecom conduit, etc.

Pools, Spas, and Hot Tubs (NSF/ANSI Std. 50, ASME) Filters, chemical feeding equipment, multiport valves, etc.

NSF Application Procedure

A) Applicant or Manufacturers should submit :product user instruction, photos, exploded drawing, components list , suppliers information and part numbers, performance etc to Shanghai Magic to help NSF decide which tests would be involved for application.
B) Quotation

C) Submission
Applied samples would be prepared and dispatched to NSF for public health assessments. The tests would be done by USA NSF Lab. 

D) Initial Plant Inspection
For the first time application, NSF will assign auditor to plant for inspection before NSF certificate issued.  

E) Certificate and Marks  
Applicant or Manufacturers will obtain NSF certificate upon tests & IPI passed, the relevant information would be listed in database for search and NSF mark would be authorized. NSF files would be kept in plant for auditor verification. 
NSF MARK can be used
A  Stick label in approved items including company name, address as nameplateb. Stamp in approval items with NSF mark, manufacturer name and address

F) Annual Inspection 
NSF approved plant would be audited by NSF representative nonscheduled and corrective actions should be provided if anything queries. At same time, plant should submit test samples to NSF upon receive any written letters or notifications.
